Back to Fundraisers

I’m Palestinian and Syrian. I was born in Syria and lived there until the war forced my family and me to flee. Like so many others, we left everything behind — our home, our memories, our sense of stability. We spent around 13 years displaced, trying to rebuild life from nothing.

In 2024, the war officially ended, and in the summer of 2025 I was finally able to go back. I thought I understood loss before that trip — but being back made me realise something painful. Compared to so many people, I was lucky.

I met people who had lost not just homes, but entire families. Parents. Children. Everyone. I saw families still living in incredibly harsh conditions, struggling every single day just to survive. Many people are living far below the poverty line, with no safety net at all.

What affected me most were the children. Not homeless — but children who should be in school or playing, instead walking the streets trying to sell small things just to help feed their families. Children carrying responsibilities no child should have.

That’s why I’m doing this.

This summer, I’ll be raising money and then traveling to Jordan to personally distribute donations to Syrian and Palestinian refugees who are in extreme need. This won’t be random or unnecessary aid — it will go directly to people who are struggling to meet basic needs like food, medicine, and daily essentials.

I’m doing this in partnership with SKT Welfare, an organisation I trust deeply. They operate on a 100% donation policy, which means every penny donated goes directly to helping people in need. I will not take anything from this — this is purely about getting support to those who need it most.

I’m not doing this because I think I can fix everything. I’m doing it because I’ve seen the reality with my own eyes, and I can’t ignore it.

If you choose to donate, know that your support isn’t just money — it’s food on a table, relief for a family, and dignity for people who have already lost so much.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping in any way you can. Even the smallest contribution truly matters.
