ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ I successfully completed my Mount Snowdon Trek with the support from SKT charity. It definitely was a very challenging first trek for me. Despite the treacherous conditions that I faced along the journey, downpour of torrential rain and strong winds of up to 75 mph as I went higher up the mountain. 

I knew that this was only going to get even harder, knowing that the regular hikers gave up, as they were walking down, they were warning us and telling us to turn back.

I knew it was extremely hard to keep going, but I kept telling myself that I am doing this for a worthy cause. My willpower and dedication was enough for me, mentally to keep my journey going. Whereas I was getting blown away, having to hold on to rocks, and my hands were frozen and I could not feel my fingers at all. 

This Trek has to be truly, a great experience for me in my lifetime! It is beyond me of what can be achieved with determination. I continued my trek with my goal in mind and prayers to help me complete this challenge. 

“It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves”

I am super proud to share with you my experience, the trek was completed within 6 hours, 4 hours going up on the llanberis route and 2 hours coming down on the Rangers route (scrabbling) and a few falls and my last hard fall, where I fell onto a rock and hurt my knee, bleeding still I continued my journey back down with the “I got this” attitude. 

We are just entering into our winter campaign now and it really hits home about about struggles for some of the most needy. They live and survive in these conditions without the bare essentials.
