In the heart of Rhino Refugee Settlements lies a silent building that once echoed with the laughter and learning of refugee children. Today, its doors are shut. With no funding or support, the local school has been forced to close, leaving hundreds of children wandering the settlement aimlessly under the burning sun.
These children, already traumatised by war and famine in South Sudan, now face the added burden of lost education and crushed dreams. Without school, they are vulnerable to illness, exploitation, and despair. But with your help, SKT Welfare can bring this school back to life.
A share of just £500 contributes towards repairing classrooms, restoring water points, providing basic furniture, and recruiting teachers. Once renovated, the school will offer non-formal education in the mornings and vocational training in the evenings reviving hope and rebuilding futures.
Education is not a luxury. For refugee children, it is protection. It is therapy. It is the key to survival and progress.
Let’s reopen the doors of opportunity. Help us transform this abandoned shell into a sanctuary of learning, healing, and hope.
