Supporting South Sudanese Refugees in Northern Uganda

Tens of thousands of South Sudanese families have sought safety in northern Uganda after fleeing conflict, famine, and repeated displacement in South Sudan. Settlements such as Rhino Camp have become temporary homes for families who have lost nearly everything.

While Uganda has generously opened its borders, daily life in these settlements remains extremely challenging. Hunger is one of the most urgent and persistent struggles. Limited access to food not only weakens physical health but also erodes dignity, stability, and hope for the future.

A New Kitchen in Al Dabbah Camp

We have now established a kitchen in Al Dabbah Camp to directly address food insecurity. This kitchen is designed to provide hot, nutritious meals to approximately 500 families per day.

Each family meal costs £11 and includes:

• One whole chicken

• 1 kg of rice

These meals are prepared and distributed daily to ensure families receive reliable nourishment during this difficult time.
