Rabi al-Awwal is the month in which the Prophet ﷺ was born — a time of love, gratitude, and renewed commitment to his example. Many Muslims mark this month with extra devotion, including fasting and serving those in need.
But for families living in poverty, conflict, and displacement, fasting brings great hardship. Many struggle to find even a simple meal to break their fast.
Your donation ensures that vulnerable families are able to complete their fast with dignity.
Fasting in Rabi al-Awal
As a month of remembrance for the Prophet ﷺ, many Muslims choose to fast on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of Rabi al-Awal, surrounding the days of Mawlid.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every good deed of Adam’s son is for him except fasting; it is for Me. And I shall reward it. Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the smell of musk.” [Bukhari]
He also reminds us, “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast will have a reward like his, without diminishing anything from the fasting person’s reward.” [Tirmidhi]
This Rabi al-Awal, your gift can provide nutritious meals for those fasting in hardship, a mercy for them, and a lasting reward for you.
