It’s impossible to understand what that means for people; ordinary people, who have had their lives turned upside down in the conflict.
Over 13 million people need urgent humanitarian aid, according to the UN. Millions of people don’t have access to clean water, and the medical infrastructure is on the brink of collapse, with more than half of hospitals and healthcare facilities damaged or destroyed. 2.8 million children are not in school and are missing out on the education they need.
The war has caused the worst refugee crisis of our generation. There are 6.2 million internally displaced people including 2.5 million children - and 6.7 million refugees, who have fled to mostly developing countries, like Turkey and Lebanon.
With so much destruction, it’s difficult to understand how we can help.
Our volunteers are on the ground, providing food parcels and safe water, while our bakery and hospital support tens of thousands of displaced refugees with food and vital healthcare. We are working to re-build lives by providing safe and secure housing, schools and Mosques in our Safe Haven villages.
Your donation can help provide vital food, healthcare, water, shelter for displaced refugees.

Our bakery, located in Idlib, is a lifeline for thousands of Syrian people.
Every day, our volunteers bake and distribute bread to hundreds of families struggling to survive in seven local refugee camps. We reach around 10,500 people every single day.
One tonne of flour produces 1,000 packs of bread, with each pack providing the average Syrian family with enough bread for one meal. Just £3.50 provides 10 packs of bread, with 7 loaves in each pack. To date, the bakery has benefitted an incredible 7.2 million individuals!
Fresh bread is life-sustaining and vital to Syrian family life, and it is one thing that displaced Syrian families can rely on every day, so please keep on supporting this fantastic project.
Donate to Syria today, and provide fresh, nourishing bread to Syrians in need.
10 Years of Conflicts in Shaam have meant millions have fled their homes, sometimes in the middle of the night with no possessions, and sought shelter in camps. Their homes are made from sheets of tarpaulin and cotton sheets, and fail to keep out the bitter wind, rain, or snow.
As winter approaches, those living in refugee camps and temporary accommodation fear for their lives. Winter can be brutal, with temperatures falling well below zero and with snow and icy conditions. Without secure housing and combined with the additional pressures and concerns of Covid-19, this will be the worst winter of their lives.
With SKT Welfare, you can help build secure homes for the displaced. You can help create safe havens for those who have fled their homes and witnessed unimaginable horrors. Our homes will keep them warm and protected over the winter months, and for years to come.
Due to over 10 years of brutal war, Shaam’s agricultural industry has collapsed and caused food prices to skyrocket well above what most people can afford. Many impoverished families simply don’t have the funds to buy enough food for the whole family to have a nutritious, balanced diet.
The children of Shaam are faced with malnutrition and hunger on a daily basis, with an estimated 2 million children not getting enough to eat. You can help alleviate their suffering by donating a food pack filled with nutritious items.
A donation of £50 this Ramadan will provide a family in Shaam with a food pack that will keep them fed for an entire month. Please donate to Syria to help our brothers and sisters in Shaam fight hunger and feed their families.
