SKT Welfare Jordan and Syria Deployment – Volunteer Opportunity
Embark on a transformative 7-day mission to support Syrian and Palestinian families in need.
Deployment Overview
This proposed deployment lasts approximately 7 days, with 4 days dedicated to projects in Syria and 3 days in Jordan. Volunteers will engage in humanitarian activities aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by displaced communities.

Tentative Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Amman, Jordan – Orientation and briefing
Day 2 to 3: Humanitarian projects in Jordan – Distribution of food packs and essential supplies to Palestinian and Syrian families in refugee camps across Mafraq and Madaba regions
Day 4: Travel to Syria – Secure convoy with army escort to ensure safety
Day 5 to 7: Humanitarian projects in Syria – Food distribution, medical aid support, and assistance in Safe Haven villages. Volunteers will also visit Al Huda Hospital and Al Huda Bakery, which serve over one million people in 13 towns and 110 villages
Day 8: Return to Amman and debrief
Project Focus Areas
Food distribution – Delivering essential food parcels to families in need
Medical support – Assisting in clinics and hospitals, including Al Huda Hospital, which has treated over 144,000 patients in its emergency room
Safe Haven villages – Supporting construction and maintenance of homes for displaced families. SKT Welfare has built over 1,500 homes in 4 villages, providing families with secure living spaces
Bread distribution – Assisting in the operation of Al Huda Bakery, which bakes and distributes bread to thousands of families daily
Water projects – Supporting initiatives to provide clean water through well installations and water truck deliveries
Travel and Safety
Arrival airport is Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Amman, Jordan
Travel to Syria will be by secure convoy with army escort to ensure volunteer safety
All necessary precautions will be taken in collaboration with local authorities and security experts
Volunteers must be comfortable working in challenging environments
Important Notes
This deployment depends on volunteer interest and logistical arrangements
Final confirmation will be provided once sufficient interest is confirmed and logistics are organised
Volunteers are encouraged to fundraise to support the mission. Funds raised contribute directly to aid provision and logistical support. Specific fundraising targets will be communicated upon application
