Fundraising Target: £5,000 | Food Parcel Cost: £40
"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward for whom He wills." (Qur'an 2:261)
Today, millions of Palestinian and Syrian refugees continue to live in difficult circumstances across Jordan. Having fled conflict, displacement, and unimaginable hardship, many families struggle daily to secure the most basic necessities, including food, medical care, and support for their children.
This year, I have the honour of joining the SKT Welfare team on a humanitarian deployment to Jordan, where we will be working directly with refugee families to provide much-needed aid and support. This mission is about far more than simply distributing supplies. We will be visiting families in their homes, listening to their stories, witnessing their challenges firsthand, and ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most with dignity, compassion, and accountability.
During the deployment, I will be helping to distribute food parcels to vulnerable Palestinian and Syrian refugee families, supporting orphaned children, and visiting hospitals where emergency medical assistance is urgently needed. Being present on the ground allows us to ensure that every donation translates into meaningful support and real relief for struggling families.
Our goal is to raise £5,000, which will provide 125 food parcels for refugee families across Jordan.
£40 provides one food parcel, feeding a family for approximately one month.
£80 supports two families.
£200 provides food assistance for five families.
£400 helps feed ten families.
£1,000 supports twenty-five families.
£5,000 will provide 125 food parcels and help us reach our target.
Allah (SWT) reminds us:
"And they give food, despite their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive." (Qur'an 76:8)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Feed the hungry and spread peace among those you know and those you do not know." (Sahih al-Bukhari)
And he ﷺ also said:
"Whoever relieves a believer's distress from the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve his distress from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih Muslim)
These families have endured immense hardship, yet many continue to face uncertainty about where their next meal will come from. Through your support, we can help ease that burden and remind them that they have not been forgotten.
This appeal also holds personal significance for me, as I hope it can serve as a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for my late family members. I pray that every food parcel delivered, every child supported, and every hardship relieved becomes a source of ongoing reward and mercy for them. By helping those in need, we not only provide relief to vulnerable families but also seek Allah's blessings and acceptance for those who have passed before us.
SKT Welfare operates a 100% donation policy, meaning every penny donated goes directly towards charitable projects on the ground. All donations made through this page are Zakat eligible, allowing you to fulfil your obligation while supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our Ummah.
Your donation is more than a financial contribution.
It is food for the hungry.
It is relief for struggling parents.
It is support for orphaned children.
It is hope for families rebuilding their lives after displacement.
Whether you are able to donate £40, contribute towards a larger amount, share this appeal with others, or simply remember these families in your duas, every effort counts.
Together, we can provide food, dignity, and hope to Palestinian and Syrian refugee families in Jordan.
May Allah (SWT) accept every donation, bless every supporter, alleviate the suffering of those in need, and make this effort a source of immense reward in this life and the next.
Ameen.
