Many of you know that in September 2025, I had the honour of joining a deployment to Jordan—an experience that changed me in ways I could never have imagined. What began as a simple mission to raise funds and deliver food packs became a deeply humbling journey. I met families who welcomed us with smiles despite having so little, mothers who prayed for us with tears in their eyes, and children whose courage shone through hardship. Alhumdulilah, through your kindness, I raised around just under £10,000 and I was able to bring real relief to people who desperately needed it.

That trip opened my heart. Seeing the work of SKT Welfare on the ground witnessing the dignity they restore, the hope they plant, and the lives they touch left a lasting imprint on me. It reminded me that even the smallest act of charity can transform someone’s entire day, sometimes their entire life.

With that same trust in Allah SWT and the same desire to serve, I am setting out once again with close friends this time to support our Syrian and Palestinian brothers and sisters in Lebanon In August 2026 inshallah. 

Many of these families have been displaced for over a decade. They have endured cold winters in tents, years of instability, and the unimaginable pain of losing their homes, their livelihoods, and often their loved ones. Yet, their resilience is extraordinary. They continue to hold on to hope even when the world around them feels uncertain.

This deployment will give us the opportunity to look into their eyes, deliver food aid with our own hands, and remind them that they are not forgotten. Every donation big or small becomes a source of warmth, comfort, and dignity for families who have suffered far too much. Your generosity is not just charity; it is a lifeline. It is a light in someone’s darkest moment. It is hope where hope has been fading.

The Prophet (SAW) said:

“ the charity you give will be your shade on the Day of Judgment”

May every donation you give become a shield for you, a blessing for your loved ones, and a Sadiqah jariyah that continues long after we leave this world. Together, we can help restore dignity, bring comfort, and rebuild hope for those who need it most.
