Yemen is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, with more than 24 million people – some 80 per cent of the population – in need of humanitarian assistance, including more than 12 million children. Since the conflict escalated in March 2015, the country has become a living hell for the country’s children. With COVID-19 now spreading rapidly, Yemen is facing an emergency within an emergency. The need for basic food is greater than ever with over 50% of the population in danger of losing their life due to the scarcity of food.
In March Skt Welfare sent 9 containers full of rice and flour directly inside Yemen to be distributed to our brothers and sisters. Them containers have now been cleared and are currently being distributed in the coming days. (Pics and videos to follow)
After such a successful campaign we have decided to launch another container campaign. We are looking to send as many containers at possible. We have sourced the following
Full pallet Rice £450
Full Pallet Flour £425
Please come together with your family and friends and raise money for a pallet or donate whatever you can.
