إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

This fundraiser is being raised as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) on behalf of Nur Fatima (الله يرحمها), in the hope that Allah ﷻ accepts it from her and allows its reward to continue reaching her.

We ask Allah ﷻ to make this a means of raising her ranks, forgiving her sins, and showering her with mercy, and to make it a source of continuous reward for her in the grave and beyond.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim 1631)

With this in mind, funds are being raised to build 3 Hand Water Pumps in Pakistan, costing £150 each (£450 total), to provide families with access to clean, safe water.

Water is one of the greatest forms of charity in Islam. When Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah (رضي الله عنه) asked the Prophet ﷺ after the death of his mother: “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Yes.” He asked: “Which charity is best?” The Prophet ﷺ replied: “A drink of water.” (Sunan al-Nasa’i 3664)

Allah says in the Qur’an: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain which grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)

The need for clean water in Pakistan is urgent: 22 million people have no access to clean water, Pakistan is among the top countries with the lowest access to safe water, only 36% of water is safe for consumption, 40% of deaths are linked to contaminated water, 19,500 children die every year due to unsafe water and poor sanitation, and many women and children walk hours daily to collect unsafe water.

A single water pump can provide lasting benefit to an entire community, easing hardship, preventing disease, and offering long-term relief (إن شاء الله). Your du'as and donations are appreciated dearly, may Allah ﷻ reward you abundantly for your generous contributions and place immense Barakah in all your affairs.

May Allah ﷻ accept this from her, make it a source of ongoing reward, forgive her, have mercy on her, and raise her ranks in Jannatul Firdaws, a place we all aspire and pray to reunite in, Ameen.
