Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
By the will of Allah I will be travelling as part of an aid deployment group to the Turkish / Syrian border in Feb 2023 Insha'Allah to deliver food parcels to Syrian Refugees in Turkey.
Since the Syria conflict began in 2011, over 3.5 to 4 million Syrian refugees have fled into Turkey and the numbers continue to rise.
Many Syrian refugee families in Turkey left their homes wearing nothing but the clothes on their backs and are in desperate need of support. Many have experienced unparalleled levels of trauma and continue to experience tremendous grief and alienation, while thousands of refugee children are out of school.
As well as food security you have the opportunity to provide isolated widows (who have children to take care of without a Mahram) a sponsorship. To sponsor a widow for 1 month it only costs £150 which covers their basic needs, these women find it almost impossible to work in a foreign non-arab land and so you'll be supporting them with a much needed income.
The SKT projects in Turkey address both short and long term needs of refugees struggling to settle and move forwards with their lives.
How your donations will be used:
£50 buys a food parcel, which will last a family of 4 for 1 whole month
The parcels contain the following items:
Rice, sugar, bulgur wheat, vermicelli, red lentils, tea, flour, sunflower oil, olive oil, tomato paste, dates and sweets for children.
Kindly give whatever you can and rest assured that 100% of your donation will be delivered to the intended recipient. This project is Zakat and Sadaqah applicable.
