Yemen is a country at the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. Yemen is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, with more than 24 million people some 80 per cent of the population in need of humanitarian assistance, including more than 12 million children. Since the conflict escalated in March 2015, the country has become a living hell for the country’s children.
Yemen is currently facing ongoing war, cholera, famine, and now a fast expanding coronavirus outbreak. Making matters worse, the global pandemic has stifled aid funding and on top of that Yemen has been in a civil war since 2015. There were more than 23,000 fatalities reported just in 2019.
