Salaam, my name is Aliya. This summer, I’ll be travelling to Turkey to take part in a truly humbling and hands-on humanitarian mission. There is a lot happening in the world with many in need of our help. I’ll be working directly in refugee camps to pack and distribute food parcels to Syrian families who have been displaced by years of brutal conflict.
I’m volunteering with SKT Welfare, a charitable organisation that provides critical support to those in crisis. Their 100% donation policy ensures that every penny you donate goes directly to helping those who need it most!
During my time there, I’ll also be visiting orphans and families at SKT’s dedicated orphan village, engaging with children and adults with special needs, offering companionship and support and supporting children in their Quran and Hifz programmes, helping them stay connected to their faith during challenging times
Since 2011, millions of Syrians have been forced to flee their homes due to war. Many have found safety in Turkey but are living in extremely difficult conditions, often without basic necessities. The food packages we provide can mean the difference between hunger and survival.
This experience will be emotional, eye-opening, and deeply personal. It’s a chance for me to witness resilience in its rawest form—and to appreciate the things we often take for granted. Most importantly, it’s about standing in solidarity with people who deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Your donation will have a direct and powerful impact—feeding families, uplifting children, and helping restore hope where it’s been lost.
Thank you for taking the time out to read, donate and joining me on this journey.
Aliya
Good luck and I'm proud of you ❤️
