The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“When you pass by the gardens of Jannat, then eat from its fruit”.  It was asked, “Ya Rasulullah, what are the gardens of Jannat?” He replied, “The Masjid”.  Then, it was asked, “Ya Rasulullah, what is meant by eating its fruit?” He replied, “to read the Kalima (Subahanallahi Walhamdulillahi Wa La Ilaha Illallahu Wallaahu Akbar). [Tirmidhi]

Asalaamualaikum Everyone,

I pray you and your family are all in good health and are keeping safe in these unprecedented times.

My name is Aliya and I would like to share some details on the project I am hoping to undertake, in the loving memory of my Nana Abu, Malik Lal Khan.

My Nana Abu was a very humble, kind-hearted person, who unfortunately passed away 31 years ago. They were a very hardworking, and pious individual who was loved greatly and respected immensely by everyone they met.

My Nana Abu was very charismatic and all those who met them once, longed to meet them again. The wisdom, love and kindness they spread has lived long past their life, and In Shaa Allah, will continue to live on for generations to come.

Despite having never met my Nana Abu, I am inspired by their strong morals and principles everyday. Having grown up learning about my Nana Abu from my mum, my Nanni and, in fact, everyone who has ever met them, they still speak of them with the utmost respect and I feel like they are an important part of my life. I think my life would have been so much more enriched if I had the pleasure of knowing them. I am so grateful that I am known as the granddaughter of Malik Lal Khan.

I would like to build this mosque in the memory of my dear Nana Abu, In Shaa Allah and I would really appreciate any help along the way.

One of the greatest things we can do on behalf of our deceased loved ones, is to give to Sadaqah Jariyah. Although there is nothing that could ever replace the void left behind by my Nana Abu’s death, building a mosque in their memory will benefit them greatly as it will be a Sadaqah Jariyah for them, as well as Sadaqah Jariyah for everyone contributing too.

Our Prophet, Muhammad (SAW) said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah, knowledge from which benefit is gained or a righteous child who prays for him”. In coming together and building a mosque, we can uplift a whole community.

In Shaa Allah, this mosque will be built in a small village in Muzaffargarh, where there is no other mosque in the surrounding areas for the locals to pray. This mosque will be able to accommodate approximately 200 people and will be run by the local community.

Together, we will be able to provide these individuals with a dedicated place to practice and share their faith, and create their own little community where everyone is united as one.

My family and I would really appreciate any help and support that you have to offer! :)

Thank you!! <3
