The horror of the recent attacks on Al-Aqsa is unimaginable.
Families were torn from their sleep by the sounds of explosions, their tents and bodies engulfed in flames as Israel launched attacks on the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital complex in Deir el-Balah, with no regard for civilians or the sick and wounded receiving treatment, some plugged into life-saving machines.
This attack occurred while families were sleeping, desperately seeking a moment of rest from months of relentless bombardment, trying to escape their very own genocide.
Describing the tragedy unfolding within the hospital walls, Volunteer surgeon Mohammad Tahir said: “We are treating patients with burns covering 60 to 80 percent of their bodies—many of whom won’t survive.” “It’s a horror show here. I sometimes can’t believe this is real life, that such suffering is allowed to continue in this world.”
The attack on Al-Aqsa is intentional.
This vital hospital has been treating thousands and providing essential relief in an increasingly dire situation. Now, medical teams at Al-Aqsa Hospital, one of the last remaining operational health facilities in the strip have become overwhelmed by a relentless influx of patients suffering from severe burns, shrapnel wounds, fractures, and other traumatic injuries.
Each day brings more devastation as they strive to provide care in an environment that has been targeted repeatedly.
