Millions of Lives Turned Upside Down
Relentless monsoon rains have triggered devastating floods across Bangladesh, leaving a trail of destruction and forcing families to flee their homes. Villages have disappeared beneath floodwaters, roads and bridges have been washed away, and entire communities have become isolated without access to food, clean water or medical care.
According to the latest reports, more than one million people have been affected across seven districts, with over 267,000 households cut off by floodwaters. Tens of thousands of people have been forced into emergency shelters, while many others remain stranded in their homes waiting for help. Tragically, dozens of lives have already been lost, and the humanitarian situation continues to worsen as heavy rains persist.
For many families, the little food they had has been destroyed. Wells have been contaminated, electricity has been lost, and parents are struggling to provide even one meal a day for their children. With roads submerged and access severely restricted, emergency aid is urgently needed.
