SKT at Home is one of our wonderful flagship appeals that operates right here in the UK. We firmly believe that charity begins at home, so helping vulnerable people right here in the UK has always been a priority of ours.
Our SKT at Home appeal provides vital assistance to vulnerable families, homeless people and the elderly throughout the country. We’re giving our neighbours a helping hand by running soup kitchens, paying visits to care homes, providing hospital support, distributing blessing bag and so much more.
The Prophet (saw) said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Tirmidhi) Follow the Prophet’s teachings with us and help provide relief to those who are suffering here in the UK.
A simple act of charity is all it takes to change a life, donate today.
In the UK, there are around 320,00 homeless people, living on the streets and fighting for their lives every day. Out of all these people, a shocking 135,000 of them are children. Homelessness has increased over the years in Britain and without help, many of these poor people will struggle silently on our streets.
From our very foundation, we have taken an active role in providing the homeless in our communities with the support they need. Our volunteers run soup kitchens and distribute homeless kits in most major UK cities, like Bradford, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.
Our homeless kits, or Blessing Bags as we like to call them, are backpacks filled with essentials like jackets, socks, scarves, gloves, thermal long-johns, thermal tops and undergarments. These Blessing Bags have helped thousands of homeless people make it through the winter in warmth and comfort.
For a small donation of £20, you can provide a homeless person with a Blessing Bag full of essential winter items.
Our SKT at Home appeal and our partners in Manchester, the Greater Manchester Partnership, are helping homeless people get off the streets and into brand new homes. To offer these men and women a big warm welcome, we’re providing them with New Home Starter Kits.
These Starter Kits contain a Kettle, Toaster, Microwave and a £20 food voucher, making their transition into their new home a smooth one. For just £75, you can help someone start their new life with all the comforts of home! Help us life the homeless out of poverty and welcome them home.
Our 100% donation policy means that every penny you donate is used in the delivery of humanitarian projects and directly related costs. Indirect and administrative costs are covered by either direct donations themselves or by using Gift Aid.
