10 years of SKT Welfare

SKT Welfare has been operating over the last 10 years in several countries around the world, including Syria, Palestine, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Somalia and the UK.

We provide food, water and healthcare to those affected by conflict, poverty and natural disasters and establish sustainable development projects in some of the world’s poorest communities.

"Our mission is to deliver humanitarian aid solutions to those in desperate need, regardless of gender, race or religion."

Founded in 2009, SKT Welfare is a UK registered charity and international NGO dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid to those in need, regardless of gender, race or religion.

We are proud of our 100% donation policy, which means every single penny you donate is used to directly serve those in need, while our administrative and overhead costs are covered by Gift Aid or direct donations. This unique policy is what sets us apart from most international NGO’s.

Over the past decade, we have delivered multiple projects, focusing on emergency relief, food, water, healthcare, education, orphan care and seasonal campaigns, such as winter and Qurbani, across in Pakistan, India, the Middle East, Somalia and here in the UK.

In 2011, when the Syria conflict began, we initiated a large-scale campaign to deliver aid and services to people inside Syria, as well as to those in refugee camps in neighbouring countries. Thanks to your donations, millions of people benefited from food parcels, fresh water, shelter, ambulances and medical aid.

So far,

8,276,900 people were provided with clean water, 600,501 received winter packs, 661,382 patients were treated, while 10,052,387 received freshly baked bread.

SKT Welfare firmly believes charity begins at home and our UK-based project, SKT Local, is supporting vulnerable and homeless people with soup kitchens, blessing bags, emergency relief, care home visits, school and hospital support, and much more.

Wherever in the world we are working, our projects are delivered by committed volunteers and overseen by trustees with extensive professional, management and charity sector experience. None of our work is outsourced. We believe that by taking total ownership of delivering and fulfilling our projects, we can stand for humanity with absolute transparency and integrity.

100% Donation Policy

SKT Welfare’s unique 100% donation policy means that every penny you donate is used for serving those in need. Our overhead costs are covered either by direct donations or by using Gift Aid. This policy sets us apart from most international NGOs and is the guiding principle of our organisation.

All work is carried out by experienced, committed volunteers and overseen by trustees with professional, management and charity sector experience. We never outsource work to other agencies, which prevents possible conflicts of interest, and we take complete ownership for delivering aid and fulfilling our projects with absolute transparency and integrity.
