We shall be running 100km in order to raise funds for our brother and sisters in Yemen, this isn't something easy but what they are going through is nothing to what we will ever go through.
Yemen is facing the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. The UN has called it, “the worst famine this century”. The situation in Yemen is dire; the UN also estimates that 130 children under the age of 5 die every day from hunger and disease in Yemen.
The Yemen conflict rages on, and it’s the innocent Yemeni people who suffer most. Millions of people are facing a deadly famine, mass displacement, water contamination, armed conflict and reoccuring outbreaks of cholera. Yemen is now also on the verge of extinction and the Coronavirus pandemic is speeding up that process.
The SKT teams are on the ground right now, providing emergency food aid through the Yemen appeals.
I’m raising funds for SKT Welfare because I really care about the great work they’re doing to alleviate
poverty and suffering around the globe. SKT work with marginalised and vulnerable communities
including with orphans and widows to help them build better futures. With their 100% donation
policy, you can rest assured that every penny of your donation will go directly to those who need it
most.
