I will be partaking in a deployment programme this summer to raise funds on behalf of SKT Welfare for refugees in Rehylani, Turkey. .

SKT’s deployment programme in Turkey has been running for more than three years in which they have been able to identify hundreds of Syrian families living in Turkey who need our support. 

Since the Syrian uprising in 2011, many families have been forced to flee their homes and seek refuge in neighbouring countries, leaving them to face dire conditions and poverty. Thus, Turkey hosts the highest number of Syrian refugees as well as remaining an oasis in the middle of an unstable region beset with conflict.

On the 31st July, I will be travelling alongside other SKT Welfare volunteers to Reyhanli, a Turkish town near the Syrian border. In Reyhanli alone there are estimated to be almost 80,000 externally displaced Syrian refugees. 

The aim of this fundraiser is to raise a minimum of £2,000 and since recent geological events, donations will help more so than before. Such donations efforts will transform into essential aid and will enable us to pack and deliver food parcels which will be distributed to those in need first hand. During this time, we will also be visiting The Springs Of Hope Orphanage, schools, medical centres and spending time with locals in the area.

SKT Welfare operate a 100% donation policy and as all travel costs will be self funded by myself, every PENNY of your donation will go towards the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.
