£83 in Gaza provides 50,000 litres of clean water per day
With its dense population of 1.6 million people and limited access to livelihoods, 38% of Gazans live in dire poverty and over 50% are food insecure. There is also a critical water shortage with 90% of the water from Gaza’s aquifer being undrinkable, which is causing widespread illness and poor health.
SKT Welfare is committed to our ongoing projects in Gaza, focusing on helping to alleviate food insecurity and facilitating access to clean water.
To date, we have delivered two water desalination plants in Gaza, with each plant producing 50,000 litres of fresh water daily for half a million impoverished people who previously had to travel several miles to collect safe water.
No one should have to live without access to clean water,
Please continue supporting this life-saving and life-sustaining cause.
